Robin4Arts was established by Tassos Alexopoulos, who interferes with cultural activities since 1980. Ever since, he and his colleagues have been producing significant events and initiatives in Greece, which have led to the reinforcement of an innovative perspective in event management of Greece. Not only is the artistic viewpoint running through all the events, but also the interest and excitement of the spectators attending them, that make this “cultural action” considerable.

“Scorpions Festival”

 

In June 2006 the company organized this music festival with the aim of

connecting all time classic and popular

rock artists, with promising newcomers. A project initiated by the Scorpions themselves, who wished the Scorpions Festival to begin from Greece with the cooperation of Cultural Action and Tassos Alexopoulos in particular, who is one of their dear friends. The line up of the “1st Scorpions Festival” included the “Scorpions”, “Whitesnake” and the newcomer Swiss Band “The Godiva”.

The “2nd Scorpions Festival” in 2007 was even more successful, with the

 

participation of “Joe Cocker”, the “Scorpions”, “Juliette & The Licks” and the newcomer Greek band “Hannibal”. The “3rd Scorpions

Festival” took place in 2009. The Scorpions invited the

most popular Greek rock star “Vassilis Papakonstantinou” at an amazing concert that was attended by 45.000 people!

 

“City in the City”

In 2005 the company initiated a project aiming to bridge two European Metropolis through their culture and specially their art scene. “City in the City” started off in April 2005 presenting in Athens one of the hippest and hottest cities in the world …BERLIN! This project “Berlin in Athens” was fully supported by some of the most important institutions in both cities.

  • Tribute to Berlin International Film Festival «Berlinale», showing in central theatres in Athens, in four zones, films from the Berlinale

  • Painting Exhibition from East Side Gallery, paintings from the Berlin Wall

  • Retrospective poster exhibition Volksbuehne

  • Alphaville, Cobra Killer, Rhythm King & her Friends, Chicks on Speed concerts

  • Mime show from the Berlin group Mime Crime

  • Music and theatre show tribute to Brecht directed by Andreas Bartsch

  • Cabaret shows from the Berlin groups String of Pearls and Shequida

  • Clubbing nights with djs: Dr Motte, Beroshima, Leon Segka, Woody, Miss Yetti in a tribute to Loveparade Berlin

 

“Berlinale in Athens 2006 and 2007”

The great success of “City in the City”, led to its evolution and the production of one of the major cultural initiatives in Greece, as “Berlinale in Athens” turned up to be. An homage to the most important films of the Berlin International Film Festival was presented to the Greek audience, under the auspices of the most significant cultural Organisations in Greece and the full support of the Berlin International Film Festival. Along with the screenings the audience had the chance to attend a series of special events.

  • Approximately 100 movies from all the sections of “Berlinale”

  • Retrospective screenings

  • 15.000 viewers attended the screenings

  • International guests including the managers of the “Berlinale” sections as well as actors and directors of the films screened, attended the festival.

  • The first High Definition Screening in cinema, ever made in Greece, (HDTV) was made within the framework of the festival.

 

SOCRATES THE DAWN OF CIVILIZATION

Was organized and produced in 2001, a very big theatrical event, with live music and special effects, presented at the famous Marble Stadium of Athens with the participation of:

EUROPEAN ROCK PRIZE 1st & 2nd ERP

European Rock Prize, a contest for young musicians (under 30 years) from all over Europe.

The 1st ERP took place on 24/9/1997, at the Lycabettus Theatre, with the participation of 10 groups from 8 European countries.

The 2nd ERP took place on 21/9/1998, at the Lycabettus Theatre, with the participation of 10 groups from 9 European countries.

The Committee was formed by well-known personalities of the European music scene, who not only voted for their favourite band, but also gave live performances on the Competition days. Among others, at the 1st and the 2nd ERP were: MICK TAYLOR (Rolling Stones), ALVIN LEE (Ten Years After), RICK WAKEMAN (Yes), RITCHIE BLACKMORE (Deep Purple, Rainbow).

 

IL MITO DI SYRACUSA / KRYPTOS / MUSICORAMA

Il Mito di Siracusa

Tassos Alexopoulos participated in the project, organized by Rai Uno, at the Greek Ancient Theatre of Siracusa, on 4 & 5 July 1995, presenting the famous Greek artist MARIA FARANTOURI. At the same project, also took part:

GEORGE DALARAS, MILVA, THANOS MIKROUTSIKOS, LYKIO ELLINIDON, CARLA FRAZZI, MAXIMILIANO GUERRA.

 

Organized the production of ANDREAS VOLLENWEIDER “KRYPTOS” Electronic Press Kit, for SONY MUSIC GERMANY, at the Delphi Archaeological site, in November 1996.

 

The Festival of Music and Photography Musicorama 97, in Athens, with the participation of the Greek bands: AVATON, IASIS, MODE PLAGAL, TAKIS BARBERIS QUINTET, KOSTAS MAGINAS, HUMAN TOUCH
